In this masterclass, we’ll learn how to work with winter conditions, not against them. Using wind, texture, shifting light, and atmosphere to create powerful, emotive imagery.
We’ll explore how to shape light on overcast days, embrace movement through fabric and environment, and create art that feels alive… even without perfect conditions.
What to expect at my masterclass
This masterclass is a hands on, immersive experience where you will see how I pose and communicate with our model to create a fun and safe space for her confidence to shine. I will talk you through and show you how I work with lighting and what props and tricks I use around winds and cold temperatures.
The structure of the session
We’ll begin the day with an optional lunch at 12:00pm at a nearby restaurant, giving you the chance to connect, settle in, and ease into the experience before we head into the session (please note meals are not included in ticket price).
We’ll then meet at Maslins Beach at 2:30pm, where we’ll walk the location together, go through styling, and prepare for the shoot before we begin creating from 3:00pm through to 5:15pm.
Throughout the session, we’ll move between a few of my favourite spots along the beach and cliffside, allowing you to experience different textures, light, and compositions. I’ll be working with a curated selection of 3-4 outfits, along with tasteful nudity, giving you a range of looks to shoot and learn from as we go.
Props and special pieces from my client wardrobe
If you know me, you would know that I am OBSESSED with the beach, shells, and collecting the most unique and stunning pieces for my client wardrobe. For the masterclass, I will put together my most requested pieces from my client wardrobe and match my pieces to what I believe will flatter our model the best. I will bring my shells and fabrics as props, and show you how something so simple can create images so beautiful. We may also have a horse joining us... but this is weather dependant!
From the moment you book to leading up to the masterclass
You will receive a detailed questionnaire upon booking, this questionnaire will help me get to know you, why you have booked with me and what questions you have, which will assist me in giving you the most tailored experience I can for you to get the most out of my masterclass.
Leading up to the session, I will keep in contact with everyone via a group chat on Instagram.

FAQ
Is this for beginners or established photographers?
Both beginners and established photographers can take away from this Masterclass! Upon booking, you will receive a detailed questionnaire, which will help me make sure you get the most out of our evening together.
What kind of guidance will we recieve during the session?
You will observe me talking to and posing our model, I will observe the light and how it is hitting her, and pose her as how I see is best (I will try to be loud enough for you to hear me, but you must get in close to be able to hear me. It will likely be a loud environment due to waves crashing and high winds, so please get in close so you can hear me). Once I have posed her I will re explain what I have done (going through prompts and poses) and help direct you to the best angles and compositions. I will direct the group to move back for faraway shots and in for close ups, to ensure we all get a good variety in our shots. You are also welcome to ask me any questions you have during the session, and I will show/ explain my answers.
What do we do if the weather turns out bad?
Being in winter there is of course a big chance of the weather going bad. It may rain, it will likely be overcast. Whatever the weather brigs, we will create art with it.
In the event of dangerous weather, we will reschedule to the following weekend.
What is the investment and are there any payment plans available?
The ticket price for this Masterclass is $850 including the 25% deposit. Yes there are payment plans available and are adjustable to suit your budget, just make sure to let me know what sort of payment plan you would like to set up.
What do I need to bring?
Wear shorts & thongs/sandals (We will get wet!).

- Camera + lens of choice (I recommend using a zoom lens if you can, but it is not a must)
- Towel & change of clothes
- Water
Can I use the images I take for my portfolio?
Yes of course!! This is what the Masterclass is all about, to help you get the best photos for your portfolio and to take away new tips and tricks!
